Worcestershire Seconds will complete their 2024 programme with a four-day Championship match against Northamptonshire at Dunstable beginning on Monday (10.30am start).
Included in the squad is trialist Andrew Neal who plays for Hertfordshire and has been in fine form with bat and ball in National Counties Championship cricket.
In his last three Championship appearances, the 24-year-old has scored 137 versus Norfolk, 96 against Northumberland and 62 not out versus Cumbria when he also returned 5-71 and 6-96 with the ball.
He has previously appeared for Essex, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire in Seconds cricket.
Spinner Tom Hinley, who this week signed a rookie contract with Worcestershire for the 2025 season, is named in the 12 strong squad.
Academy players Fin Goodman and Henry Hawes are also again included after making their Seconds debut against Derbyshire at Barnt Green.
The Seconds will be hoping for some fine weather after their campaign has been severely disrupted by the elements.
Last week’s match with Derbyshire was washed out on the first and fourth days in a pattern similar to that which affected a block of red ball cricket during the early part of the summer.
