Worcestershire Academy will be bidding for more success when they take on Surrey in the final of the ECB Under-18 County Plate at Kibworth CC tomorrow (10.45am start).
The Academy retained their ECB Under-18 County Championship Group Two title earlier in the week by drawing with Gloucestershire at Bath.
Captain Joe Stanley will be looking to continue his recent excellent form with ball and bat.
Stanley picked up nine wickets in an innings for Shropshire in a National Counties encounter with Wiltshire and then another five-for as the Academy defeated Cumbria in the County Plate semi-final.
He followed that up with his maiden century for the Academy against Gloucestershire.
Stanley will skipper a 12 strong squad which includes Cameron Jones and Harry Darley who made their first team debuts against Somerset (Metro Bank One Day Cup) and New Zealand (T20) respectively this summer.
