Worcestershire Academy launch their Royal London Under-18 One-Day Cup campaign on Sunday (July 2) when they take on local rivals Warwickshire at Portland Road, Edgbaston.
The Academy will be looking to repeat last season’s success in the competition when they defeated Warwickshire by 71 runs at Old Hill.
Rehaan Edavalath, who made his Worcestershire first team debut this week against Derbyshire in the LV=Insurance County Championship, was part of the successful Academy side.
They eventually were beaten by Northamptonshire in the quarter-finals.
Joe Stanley will skipper the side with Seth Essenhigh keeping wicket and play will get underway at 11am.
