MORE WEATHER FRUSTRATION FOR WOMEN’S RAPIDS IN T20 COMPETITION

Worcestershire Women’s Rapids have suffered more weather frustration with their ECB County Group Two T20 campaign.

The two games against Leicestershire at Bromsgrove CC on Bank Holiday Monday have been washed out.

Heavy rain during the last 24 hours has left conditions unplayable.

It means all three of their double headers have fallen victim to the elements after the fixtures with Staffordshire at Stafford CC and Warwickshire at Bromsgrove suffered the same fate.

Captain Chloe Hill said: “To have three wash-outs out of three at the start of the season is incredibly frustrating for everyone.

“The squad are so keen to get going with bat and ball, but one thing you can’t control is the weather, and it’s been the same for large parts of the country.”

Finals Day will take place on Sunday, May 14, at a venue to be confirmed.
