Worcestershire Women’s Rapids will be hoping it will be third time lucky with the weather when they take on Leicestershire in an ECB County Group Two T20 double-header at Bromsgrove CC on Bank Holiday Monday.
The Rapids have been denied the chance so far to defend their title by the elements during the opening two rounds of fixtures.
Two games with Staffordshire at Stafford CC were washed out, and the fixtures with Warwickshire at Bromsgrove suffered the same fate.
The Rapids have named a 12-strong squad for Monday.
Captain Chloe Hill said: “It’s been a frustrating start to the summer, and the squad are keen to get in some cricket ahead of Finals Day.
“After all the happy memories of last summer’s tournament, everyone is keen to showcase their skills and get going.”
Finals Day will take place on Sunday, May 14, at a venue to be confirmed.
