Worcestershire Seconds will take on the South Asian Cricket Association in three T20 matches at Kidderminster tomorrow and Friday that will have special memories for batter Kashif Ali.
Kashif became the first product of SACA to sign a pro contract with a first class county when he joined Worcestershire last season.
He had impressed when scoring a half-century off 40 balls batting at number nine for SACA in a two-day fixture versus Worcestershire Seconds at Stratford-upon-Avon at the start of last season.
Kashif has been included in both squads announced by Assistant Coach Richard Jones for the one match on Thursday (1pm start) and the two on Friday (11am and 3pm) weather permitting.
The squads are a mixture of professionals and Academy players and will be added to for the Friday fixtures by the two players in the 13 strong first team squad not selected for the LV=Insurance County Championship match with Derbyshire at the Incora County Ground.
Henry Cullen, Olly Cox and Rehaan Edavalath, who signed professional rookie contracts at the end of last summer, are included in both squads.
