WOMEN’S OPEN TRIAL 2023

Worcestershire County Cricket Club are inviting expressions of interest for female cricketers wishing to explore opportunities to play senior county cricket.

Are you ready to take your game to the next level and explore opportunities to play senior county cricket? Then look no further than our upcoming Open Trial!

We’re inviting expressions of interest from talented players over 18 years old who are hungry for a chance to shine at county level. And if you’re not already registered to play for another county – First Class or National Counties – then you’re just who we’re looking for!

Following the hugely successful Men’s Open Trial held at New Road last September, we’re excited to once again open our doors to players who want to experience county cricket at its absolute best. And this time around, we’re planning to feature the club’s leading Women’s Rapids and regional cricketers, so you know you’ll be in good company.

Expressions of interest must be returned by Friday, 14 April. Don’t miss your chance to show us what you’re made of and potentially earn a spot on one of the most exciting cricket teams around.

Once the closing date has passed, a member of our team will be in touch with all applicants and communicate a time, date and location which best suits the applicants, enabling as many people to attend as possible.

Worcestershire Women’s Club Captain Chloe Hill said, “As the captain of the Worcestershire women’s cricket team, I know first-hand the incredible opportunities that come with playing at the county level.

“We’re committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where players of all backgrounds can thrive.

“We believe that cricket is a sport for everyone, and we want to make sure that all talented female cricketers have the opportunity to showcase their skills and potentially earn a spot in the squad.

“So, if you’re a talented female cricketer looking to take your game to the next level, don’t hesitate – sign up for our Women’s Open Trial today.

“We can’t wait to see what you can do!”
