Charis Pavely and Ellie Anderson sparkled for Worcestershire Women’s Rapids as they defeated Leicestershire by 14 runs in a ECB County Under-18 T20 Group Two fixture at Nassington.
Pavely top-scored with 50 and Anderson picked up four wickets as the Rapids completed a double after defeating Bedfordshire by 72 runs at the same venue earlier in the day.
Worcestershire opted to bat and Pavely struck one six and eight fours and shared in an opening stand of 75 with Emily Hopkins (24).
Only Hannah Hardwick (15) of the other batters reached double figures as Worcestershire were bowled out for 124 in 19.3 overs.
When Leicestershire batted, Anderson came on first change and picked up an early wicket and then returned to work her way through the middle-lower order.
She finished with figures of 4-0-15-4. Amy Maund (4-0-22-2), Danielle Williams (3-0-12-1) and Myrtle Probert (2-0-18-1) were the other wicket-takers as Leicestershire closed on 110-9.
It was Leicestershire’s first defeat in the competition after winning the opening three matches.
Worcestershire had been put in against Bedfordshire and Emile Hopkins, 37 off 32 balls with seven fours, and Ellie Roberts, 37 off 49 deliveries with five boundaries, added 56 for the third wicket in a total of 152-9.
Bedfordshire never threatened a serious challenge after Maund (4-0-9-1) and Williams (3-0-8-1) had each taken an early wicket and they closed on 80-5.
Pavely (3-0-12-1) and Anderson (2-0-5-1) also chipped in with a wicket apiece.
