Joe Leach has made a big impact since his return from injury and is currently Worcestershire’s leading wicket-taker in the LV=Insurance County Championship.
The all-rounder has picked up 13 wickets in two matches against Glamorgan and Middlesex and has a total of 23 so far during the 2022 campaign.
His figures include a career best 6-44 against Glamorgan – the 15th five wicket haul of his career.
Leach currently has two more scalps than new ball partner, Charlie Morris and fellow pace bowler, Dillon Pennington.
Also on 21 wickets is slow left arm spinner, Josh Baker, who has delivered more overs, 274.1, than any other member of the attack.
Ed Barnard’s excellent season with the bat continued against Middlesex with his vital 69 not out versus Middlesex.
He has now amassed734 runs in just 12 knocks with three hundreds and four fifties at an average of 73.40.
Jack Haynes and Azhar Ali, currently on Test duty for Pakistan in Sri Lanka, have both passed the 600 run mark with Club Captain, Brett D’Oliveira, just seven runs short of that figure.
