KASHIF ALI CLIMBS SECONDS RED BALL AVERAGES AFTER EXCELLENT RUN OF FORM

Kashif Ali’s excellent form in Second Eleven Championship cricket has catapulted him up the averages in the red ball format at that level.

His scores in the last four Championship innings for the Seconds have been 80, 74, 108 and 82 and he now has a total of 358 runs at an average of 59.66.

It is an impressive start after earning a contract from Worcestershire until the end of the season and he has also confirmed his potential in the Vitality Blast.

Taylor Cornall heads the Seconds red ball batting averages with 523 runs at an average of 65.38 and it has earned him a call-up for the last two LV=Insurance County Championship matches with Durham and Glamorgan.

Tom Fell and Henry Cullen, who last week signed a rookie contract for Worcestershire, have both topped 400 runs.

On the bowling front, Adam Finch has moved up the averages after his six wickets against Warwickshire Seconds at Portland Road.

Reeve Evitts and Ben Gibbon are the joint leading wicket-takers with 13 apiece.
