Opener Ed Pollock is back available for Worcestershire Rapids for the Vitality Blast encounter against Leicestershire Foxes at the Uptonsteel County Ground tomorrow evening (6.30pm start).
Pollock returns to face the Foxes after a three-game absence because of illness.
He missed the Blast games with Northamptonshire Steelbacks and Derbyshire Falcons and the hard-fought drawn LV=Insurance Championship encounter against Durham this week.
The former Warwickshire player had been an ever-present in red and white-ball cricket this summer up to that point.
Worcestershire Head Coach, Alex Gidman, said: “Ed is fit and firing now, and he should be available for the game on Friday.”
Rapids Blast captain Moeen Ali is now on England duty for the three ODIs against the Netherland.
Moeen is scheduled to return for the final two Blast group matches against Lancashire Lightning (July 1) and Notts Outlaws (July 3) – both at New Road.
Gidman confirmed Colin Munro will lead the Rapids in the Blast until Moeen is back with the Rapids.
Gidman said the players are determined to try and clock up some victories and improve during the remainder of the North Group programme.
He said: “It has been a challenging couple of weeks, and there is no denying that. We know we could have played better in some of the games, we know there are a couple of games we should have won, and we’ve also been outplayed in a couple of matches.
“It’s clearly been frustrating and disappointing in the T20. I am the first to acknowledge that and achieving qualification is going to be very challenging.
“What we can do is try and improve and look forward a little bit to what next year may well look like and try and improve and learn.
“There is also a great opportunity for us to go into the second half of the Blast with some improvements and try and win as many games as possible.
“The 50 over competition (Royal London Cup) is starting after the T20, and that will also be an opportunity to improve our white-ball cricket.
“One thing that is never in question is the approach, attitude, work ethic and hunger of the players.
“We’ve got a few things wrong, yes, but as a collective, they are in fine spirits. They are disappointed, but they are very excited about the opportunity to try and get some more wins under their belts.”
