MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS ENCOURAGED TO JOIN WALKING CRICKET TASTER SESSION DURING CHAMPIONSHIP FIXTURE

Worcestershire Cricket will be showcasing their successful Walking Cricket programme during the lunch interval on day two of our LV=Insurance County Championship fixture against Glamorgan on Monday 27 June.

Members and supporters from both counties attending the game are encouraged to join the free taster session, which is a slower version of the game we all love with many physical, social and mental benefits.

The all-year-round programme has been a huge success throughout Worcestershire, with seven hubs now operating across the county and over 100 participants.

Elsa-Marie Evans, Worcestershire Cricket’s Community Development Officer said, “It’s an excellent opportunity for new people to get involved in a programme which has been such a massive success across Worcestershire.

“The Walking Cricket programme benefits people in many ways, including staying active and meeting new people.

“This free taster session also allows participants to play at New Road themselves”
