WOMEN’S RAPIDS CAPTAIN JOINS SOUTHERN VIPERS ON LOAN FOR T20 COMPETITION

Worcestershire Women’s Rapids captain, Chloe Hill, has joined Southern Vipers on loan for the Charlotte Edwards Cup.

Hill has made the temporary switch from Central Sparks for the T20 competition but will return for the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 50 over tournament.

She has just led the Women’s Rapids to glory in winning the ECB T20 Group Two competition.

Wicket-keeper-batter Hill has already played several warm-up games for the Vipers.

The other Women’s Rapids players in the Sparks squad are now gearing up for the Charlotte Edwards Cup opener against Western Storm at Sophia Gardens on Saturday.

They are England spinner, Sarah Glenn, opening bowler, Emily Arlott, all-rounder, Clare Boycott, and on loan duo, batters Ami Campbell and Milly Home.

Hill confirmed: “For the T20 competition, I’m going on loan to the Southern Vipers but will be back with the Sparks for the 50 over competition.

“We have played four warm-up games and won all four.

“It is going to be tough competition with all the England girls due back for the T20 competition.

“It is going to be good competition for places and I think it is going to be a really strong regional tournament.”

The Sparks will be in action at New Road against Western Storm on Saturday, June 4.
