Worcestershire CCC Academy spinner, Olly Davidson, has been included in the Cricket Scotland senior squad for the first time.
Davidson has been named in the squad which will tour the USA for the first time for four ODIS against the host nation and UAE.
The fixtures will form part of Scotland’s ICC World Cup League Two programme and will take place at the Moosa Stadium in Texas.
Davidson was part of the Scotland squad for ICC Under-19 World Cup in the West Indies this winter and impressed in the opening role and with the ball.
He said: “It’s a real honour to be selected for Scotland at 17. I really enjoyed playing the T20 trial games last year with the squad and look forward to working with the coaches and players again on this tour.”
Scotland captain, Kyle Coetzer, said: “It is exciting to see a new name in Olly Davidson in the squad. We need to keep blooding new young players and give them the opportunity when they arise.”
Scotland are currently occupying second spot in the table.
