CORNALL AND EDAVALATH HIT CENTURIES IN BIRMINGHAM LEAGUE ACTION

Worcestershire duo Taylor Cornall and Rehaan Edavalath hit centuries in Birmingham Premier League this weekend.

Cornall struck 107 off 146 balls with one six and 11 fours for Ombersley in their Premier Division One match with Berkswell.

But he ended on the losing side as Berkswell chased down a 226 target and triumphed by two wickets.

Academy player Edavalath continued his excellent season with 117 off 124 balls for Barnards Green in a Premier Division Two encounter.

It contained one six and 15 boundaries as Barnards Green totalled 335-6 and bowled out opponents West Bromwich Dartmouth for 218.

Edavalath scored his maiden century for Worcestershire Seconds earlier in the summer against the South Asian Cricket Academy at Stratford.

Tom Fell was also amongst the runs with an unbeaten 78 as Wolverhampton (214-6) defeated Bridgnorth by four wickets.

Worcestershire Seconds Coach, Kadeer Ali, made 69 for Smethwick in another four wicket success versus Knowle and Dorridge.

Henry Cullen, 44 off 30 balls, and fellow Academy player Reeve Evitts, with 2-24, helped Kenilworth Wardens, 380, inflict a heavy defeat on Kidderminster, who were dismissed for 93.

Jacques Banton’s 40 played its part in Barnt Green overhauling Moseley’s 211 after Cameron Jones had earlier returned 2-14 from his six overs.
