2022 PRE-SEASON MEMBERS & SUPPORTERS UPDATE

We are looking forward to welcoming all members and supporters to New Road in just a few weeks time when we face Sussex in our opening home fixture of the season.

The Club is pleased to be able to share a number of updates and benefits with members.

 CAR PARKING 2022

Due to limited car parking availability and the Club’s inability to guarantee spaces, the Club has reviewed its car parking provision for the new season.

For the 2022 season, car parking will be available for both members and non-members at New Road for each match day on a strictly first-come-first-served basis on the Severn Bridge Car Park (hotel side of the ground).

Parking will be charged at £10 a day, with Worcestershire members receiving a 50% discount. Upon entry to the car park, which opens two hours before the scheduled start of play, payment can be made via all major credit and debit cards and mobile payment methods.

Blue Badge holders will continue to receive complimentary car parking; disabled spaces can be pre-booked on a fixture-by-fixture basis by calling the Membership Department on 01905 337921.

Alternative car parking is available within short walking distance of the ground and can be viewed by clicking here.

The Tom Graveney Lounge – Graeme Hick Pavilion

Following the relaxation of Covid guidance, the Tom Graveney Lounge in the Graeme Hick Pavilion will be re-opening to members this season. Members will be sharing the space with a new dining area for home and away players, which will occupy around a third of the lounge, bringing the members closer to the players than ever before.

In addition, following members’ feedback, the Club has reviewed the range of drinks available in the lounge, and four real ales will be available to members and guests on each matchday.

New Road Food and Beverage Kiosks

The range of food and drinks offered at New Road matchday kiosks has been expanded for the 2022 season to include more gluten-free, vegan and halal foods and a more extensive range of non-alcoholic beverages.

Worcestershire members will also receive 10% off all food and drink at New Road owned kiosks and bars on presentation of their valid membership card.

Members Ticketing Benefits

In addition to entry to at least 35 days of Worcestershire CCC first team cricket, 2022 memberships come with a range of other cricketing benefits:

Worcestershire members will be able to watch Gloucestershire and Nottinghamshire’s home LV=Insurance County Championship matches for FREE this summer at Bristol, Cheltenham College and Trent Bridge following a reciprocal agreement between the three counties, with their members being able to watch more cricket at New Road.

The only exemptions to this agreement are the LV=Insurance County Championship games between the three counties.

Some of the world’s best players will be on show as South Africa visit New Road on Thursday 14 July to face England Lions in their final warm-up fixture before the 50-over series against England Men. Worcestershire members receive free access to this fixture with their membership card for what promises to be a day of the highest quality cricket.

Worcestershire members will also be able to treat themselves to a feast of women’s cricket as the Central Sparks team, co-owned by Worcestershire and Warwickshire, will step out at New Road three times this summer. Members can attend all fixtures on the production of their membership cards at the gate.

4 June Central Sparks v Western Storm
16 July Central Sparks v Northern Diamonds
17 September Central Sparks v Sunrisers

In September, the England Men Under-19s will face Sri Lanka in two 19ODIs at New Road on September 5 and 8, with members again gaining free entry.

Members Forums

After the success of the member’s forums on the opening day of all LV=Insurance County Championship fixtures pre-covid, we will be returning to the popular in-person format for the 2022 season.

The panel for the forums will be communicated before each fixture, and all members will again be welcome to join, listen to updates and ask questions from the floor in the Tom Graveney Lounge before play gets underway.

New Road Cafe

The Club’s new Cafe, which opened in place of Foley’s at the end of last summer, is open all year round Monday to Saturday 9am to 3pm and is open to the general public. Members are entitled to a 10% discount on cafe products on matchdays and non-matchdays.
