INNOVATIVE SCHEME OFFERS CHANCE TO SPONSOR WORCESTERSHIRE PLAYER VIA SEVEN-DAY AUCTION

Worcestershire CCC are offering companies of all sizes and supporters the opportunity to sponsor a player via a seven-day auction and go global in spreading their brand via an innovative new scheme.

It is the perfect way to show support for Worcestershire and the squad in addition to making people worldwide, as well as locally, aware of their company via the Club’s multiple media platforms.

With the 2022 season fast approaching at New Road, the Player Sponsorship package provides the ultimate exposure for sponsors.

Sponsoring a player can help promote a company’s brand to over 250,000 followers across multiple platforms, not just across Worcestershire but around the globe!

But first potential sponsors have to bid to sponsor a player, with the auction starting on Monday (March 7) at 10am and ending next Sunday (March 13) at 6pm.

The base price for every player will be £100, but there is no ceiling on the maximum price.

To place a bid, all you have to do is click on this link and select the player you’d like to bid on.

The highest bidder will then be contacted directly to confirm their payment and sponsorship, and, if the highest bidder does not fulfil their sponsorship, then it will go to the second-highest bidder. Worcestershire County Cricket Club also reserve the right to withdraw sponsorship from a company or an individual at any time.

Of the money gained from player sponsorship, 20% will be donated to Worcestershire’s 2022 Charity Partner, the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust.

The benefits for the sponsor’s company are immense and include:

  • Logo on Player Profile Page on Official Website
  • Logo on individual players social media graphics across both County & Rapids graphics
  • On YouTube interviews, Company mention and link through to website
  • Framed signed player picture
  • Pair of tickets to a fixture of your choice in 2022 season

David Hoskins, Worcestershire’s Head of Commercial and Operations, said: “We think we have come up with an innovative scheme which can help companies of all sizes, Worcestershire and our Charity Partner.

“They can increase awareness of their company and brand to a significant number of followers, over 250,000, and in the process support Worcestershire and the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust.

“It gives companies the chance to sponsor our England player, Moeen Ali, our overseas signing, Azhar Ali, our new Club Captain Brett D’Oliveira and all the other talented members of our squad.

“We have multiple media platforms which reach out all around the world and not just locally in Worcestershire, and companies will benefit from that exposure.

“I’m sure there will be considerable interest in the auction process once the bidding can start on Monday.”
