Worcestershire have upgraded and repositioned their popular New Road Pitchview camera to provide an even better experience for members and supporters.
More than 100,000 people from all around the world tuned into the camera via the official Worcestershire website during the past 12 months.
The new, higher spec, camera features 25x optical zoom lens with a much higher resolution, massively increasing the picture quality for all viewers.
It also provides an ideal opportunity for any potential sponsor keen to increase awareness of their company’s brand.
The camera is now positioned in the corner of the New Road Stand on the Club Shop and Café side of the ground and will now also be available to view via the Club’s official YouTube channel.
The view shows the iconic Worcestershire Cathedral in the background and also the superb condition of the New Road square and outfield, which has benefited from additional investment provided for work carried out this winter.
David Hoskins, Worcestershire’s Head of Commercial and Operations, said: “We know how popular Pitchview camera is with our members and supporters and indeed general cricket followers.
“To have over 100,000 people view the camera during the past 12 months, not just our members and supporters but people all around the world, shows just how popular it is.
“We get a lot of ‘hits’ globally, and we have repositioned and upgraded the camera to one of even higher quality.
“Hopefully, members, supporters, everyone will benefit from having that better view of New Road all year round.
“It still includes the iconic Cathedral and, with the excellent viewing figures, it has massive reach, and there are sponsorship opportunities available for the Pitchview camera.
“It is a good opportunity to increase awareness of a company’s brand.”
