WCCC Statement

Dating back to the period between 2013-2017, a technical issue which breached an annualised hours policy meant that a very small number of staff’s pay, for some summer months, mistakenly fell below the national minimum wage.

There was never any intention to underpay any of our employees and as soon as HMRC made us aware of this technical issue, all staff were reimbursed and contracts updated to reflect the up-to-date annualised hours policy.

Here at Worcestershire County Cricket Club we place staff at the heart of everything we do, and internal processes were updated to ensure that a similar issue won’t occur again in the future.

Over the past few years, Worcestershire CCC has invested heavily in staff development, including regular training and taking on apprentice’s who have gone on to be valued members of staff within the business.
