WORCESTERSHIRE CCC ACADEMY DUO SHINE WITH THE BALL AT SUPER FOURS

Worcestershire CCC Academy duo, Ben Parker and Josh Dickenson, finished amongst the leading wicket-takers in the 2021 Super Fours held at Loughborough.

Paceman Parker and spinner Dickenson both ended with seven wickets from the week long tournament, the fourth highest individual tally in the competition.

Parker was part of Worcestershire’s Royal London One-Day Cup squad, for the opening game against Kent at New Road, before joining up with the Midlands.

He had returns of 2-44 (versus South and West Under-18s), 3-47 (North Under-18s) and 2-44  (London and East Under-18s) in the three 50 over games.

Dickenson had figures of 1-33, 3-40 and 2-48 in the 50 over tournament plus 1-22 in the sole T20 game versus the North in which Parker did not take a wicket.

Three members of the Worcestershire CCC Academy-Pathway are now preparing for the 2021 Bunbury festival, which gets underway on Monday (August 2), also at Loughborough.

All-rounder, Jack Home, slow left arm bowler, Ben Clarke, and paceman, Ben Clements, will be part of the Midlands squad in the week-long tournament.
