Casual Hospitality Staff

We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic people who are willing to commit to us for a variety of our home games and on non-match day events.

The role will include:

  • Taking food and drink orders to ensure prompt and accurate service.
  • Processing payment for orders.
  • Dealing with customer requests and queries.
  • Additional duties requested by line management.
  • Attend mandatory and other training as required.
  • Deliver great customer service with a smile.

We are also in search of Casual Kitchen Porters & Kitchen Assistants

  • Ensure that the kitchen is clean and operational.
  • Carrying food deliveries and placing them into store and completing appropriate paperwork.
  • Cleaning ovens, dishes, pans, and other equipment
  • Cleaning the floor and disposing of kitchen waste and rubbish correctly
  • Keeping kitchen walls and work surfaces clean.
  • Bringing food in from the storeroom
  • Checking sell-by dates and rotating stock
  • Washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients.

Casual Chef

Main purpose of role:

To work closely with the Lead Chef to produce quality food to menu specifications in a high turnover unit on match days and for on-site functions as required.
Creativity and enthusiasm for good food and its presentation is essential.

Key tasks:

  • Successfully prepare, cook, and serve food to clients across the stadium.
  • Ensure all food is served to the company’s specification and high standards.
  • Support the lead Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen.
  • Assisting other Chefs before, during and after service.
  • Helping with deliveries and restocking.
  • Assisting with stock rotation.
  • Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.

Key results/objectives:

  • Produce fresh and tasty food for our box holders and executive members while minimising food waste.
  • Work to company standards to ensure world class service for customers and staff.
  • Inspire other members of the team to reach the high standards set and encourage a productive team environment

Person Specification:

  • A proactive team player who works on own initiative.
  • A great communicator with a genuine interest and enthusiasm for good food.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours – attendance at some events on evenings and weekends is a requirement for this role).

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum level 2 NVQ or a minimum of two years relevant experience
  • A minimum of level two hygiene certificate
  • Basic knowledge of all sections of a kitchen
  • Understanding of health and safety
  • Understanding of basic food hygiene practices
  • Knowledge on how to use major cooking kitchen equipment including: stoves, rationales, combination oven-grills, brat pans and refrigerators.
  • Good oral communication
  • Team management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
  • Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work
  • Positive and approachable manner
  • Team player qualities

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of working in a fast paced sporting stadium environment
