A double slice of international cricket will return to New Road this summer, with Worcestershire CCC proud to stage England Women’s 50 over matches against India and New Zealand.
Worcestershire supporters will have the chance to see Worcestershire Women’s Rapids spinner Sarah Glenn in action for her country on her home ground – and also for Central Sparks in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.
Worcestershire will play host to England versus India in the third match of the Royal London Series on Saturday, July 3.
Then New Road will again be the venue on Sunday, September 19, for England’s second Royal London Series encounter against New Zealand.
Details of how and when tickets can be purchased for these two games – and all of England’s matches during the 2021 domestic season – will be announced shortly.
Glenn will be a significant attraction for Worcestershire supporters after her superb form with the ball since breaking into the England side 16 months ago.
She has taken 27 T20I and 11 ODI wickets for her country and become an integral part of the team.
Glenn is also part of the Central Sparks squad, and they will again play at New Road this summer in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.
The Sparks will take on the Thunder on June 12 as they look to go one better than in 2020 when they finished runners-up in the North Group.
The two teams met at New Road last summer, and the Sparks triumphed by eight wickets.
Three other Women’s Rapids players in Emily Arlott, Chloe Hill and Clare Boycott are also part of the 2021 Sparks squad.

“The two international series will sit either side of The Hundred, and with the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and the new Regional T20 competition running throughout the summer, it’s a fixture list that offers a lot for both our players and our fans.
“With the 2022 ICC Women’s World Cup around the corner it is of paramount importance that our England team is able to prepare accordingly, and with the team also due to travel to Pakistan in October we can look forward to an exciting 12 months of international women’s cricket.”
