SECONDS LAUNCH CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAMME AT KIDDERMINSTER

Worcestershire CCC Seconds launch their Second Eleven Championship programme today (Monday) with a four-day match against Gloucestershire Seconds at Kidderminster (11am start).

Pace duo Josh Tongue and Pat Brown will continue their comeback from injury after figures of 4-46 in 10 overs and 3-37 in eight overs during last week’s win over Exeter University at Chester Road.

Also included are batsmen Tom Fell and Jack Haynes plus paceman Adam Finch who were part of the 13 strong squad for the opening LV=County Championship match with Essex at Chelmsford.

Jack Banton and Ismail Mohammed have been named potential replacements for any possible withdrawals that need to occur during the game.

The final day overlaps with the beginning of the County’s next LV=County Championship match with Derbyshire at Derby,

Meanwhile, the Worcestershire CCC Academy side will be in action tomorrow (Tuesday) and Wednesday when they visit Shrewsbury School.

They will play a 50 over match against the school tomorrow and two T20 matches on Wednesday.
