COUNTY RELEASE OLLY WESTBURY & BEN TWOHIG

Worcestershire CCC have released opening batsman Olly Westbury and spinner Ben Twohig whose current contracts expired at the end of the season.

Westbury, 23, played two first class, one List A and one T20 match for the County – all during the 2018 season.

Twohig, 22, featured in seven first class and one List A game for Worcestershire – again all two years ago.

He missed the entire 2019 season with a knee ligament injury.

Worcestershire Cricket Steering Group Chairman, Paul Pridgeon confirmed: “Olly and Ben have not been offered new contracts.

“We would like to thank them for their efforts for Worcestershire and wish them all the best in their future careers.”

Paceman George Scrimshaw had already parted company with Worcestershire after suffering a series of back injury setbacks.

Scrimshaw, 22, played in four T20 Blast matches during the 2017 season.
