Worcestershire CCC are delighted with the initial ticket sales for the June 25 concert by Olly Murs at New Road.
Thousands of tickets were snapped up in the pre-Christmas period by fans of the music superstar whose latest CD '24 Hrs' recently topped the charts.
Worcestershire Managing Director Jon Graham is optimistic the concert will be a sell-out and the message is BUY YOUR TICKET NOW TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT via the County's official website.
But Graham insisted the Olly Murs concert "is just one part of a big summer ahead for us" with other events in the pipeline.
He said: "We were very keen to get the date in the diary before Christmas just to try and get the Christmas present market and we definitely did that.
"The sales are where we hoped they would be. The first couple of weeks, the volume of tickets was just crazy, like a T20 quarter-final.
"We set some pretty high targets and we are on track for where we wanted to be and it goes to show how popular Olly Murs is.
"With the concert more than five months away, there is lots of work to be done but, as far as the crowd is concerned, it is going to be a big crowd and I'm sure we are going to sell out.
"I guess the message is to guarantee a ticket, now and over the next few weeks is the best time to do it via the website.
"There are a number of packages whether that be general admission, premium tickets or corporate.
"It is a big tour and we are looking forward to it. It's a bit different to last year (the Legends concert), but the experience of last year will stand us in good stead."
Graham added: "Hopefully there are going to be other things in the pipeline towards the end of the summer.
"It's about now all the other things we can do. Olly Murs is great but it is just one part of a big summer ahead for us."
