Worcestershire County Cricket Club are excited to announce that seam bowler Harry Darley has signed a one-year extension with the club.
After signing a rookie contract in 2024, Darley went on to debut for Worcestershire in both the Vitality T20 Blast and Metro Bank One Day Cup across last summer.
Having become a prominent figure in the Second XI this season, Darley, highlighted his eagerness to begin another campaign with the club where he has played since joining the academy in 2022.
“It is such a pleasure to re-sign for the club. I’ve really enjoyed the last two years and can’t wait to start another season with such a brilliant group of lads.
“They are very supportive and create a great atmosphere in the changing room, I look forward to the challenges to come next year and showing my capabilities on the field.
“I can’t wait to get the winter training started and work on my game. It’s an honour to be a part of this club.”
Head Coach, Alan Richardson, said Darley’s hard work has helped show glimpses of his potential.
“Harry has been with us for a while now, progressing through the ranks from the academy, into the 2nd XI whilst featuring in our white ball sides last season.
“There is a lot to like about Harry as a bowler and his hard graft will serve him well as we continue his development over this winter and into next season.
“I know he is very eager to kick on and represent this club, so it is now our job to harness that energy.”
