
Worcestershire star Tom Taylor has seen his outstanding finish to the season rewarded after being nominated for the Professional Cricketers Association player of the month award.
September saw the season brought to a close, with Worcestershire claiming their first List A title since 2007, after defeating Hampshire in an unforgettable Metro Bank One Day Cup final.
Tom Taylor ended the season with a bang as he collected 91.38 points and finished as the leading wicket-taker in the Championship.
Taylor’s brilliant season ended as the County Championship’s leading wicket-taker.
The Worcestershire seamer picked up 91.38 MVP points across the final four games following a contribution of 16 wickets and 132 runs.
The 30-year-old’s Match MVP came against the eventual champions Nottinghamshire after ending the game with figures of 6-115 and scoring 40 off 47 whilst batting at number nine, securing 35.22 points.
The top four men’s domestic players have been announced using the PCA’s Most Valuable Player Rankings, as Taylor comes up against:
