Worcestershire County Cricket Club can today confirm that both Tom Hinley and Yadvinder Singh will leave the club upon the expiration of their contracts at the end of the current season.
After joining the club on loan in 2024, 22-year-old Hinley impressed during the Metro Bank One Day Cup, earning himself a permanent contract for the following season.
Making his first-class debut in the summer of 2025, Hinley went on to add five Vitality Blast T20 appearances in a campaign that saw him bag 17 wickets.
The spinner recorded his best figures for the club in last year’s One Day Cup clash with Durham, where he ripped through the side on his way to 5-56.
Men’s Head Coach Alan Richardson praised Hinley for his efforts during his time with the club.
“Tom has been a credit to himself and the club across the last couple of seasons and has worn the shirt with immense pride whenever the chance has arisen.
“Despite limited opportunities, his hard work and positive attitude have been testament to his character.
“Tom’s presence will be missed around the group and in the changing room. Everyone wishes him all the best for his future endeavours”
Hinley, thanked everyone involved at the club for making his time so memorable.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Pears and have memories and friends for life.
“I am disappointed it’s over, but I have learnt a lot and would like to say thank you to everyone who has made the environment so welcoming and enjoyable.”

Singh, a graduate of the South Asian Cricket Academy (SACA), signed professional terms with Worcestershire in 2024.
Making his first-class debut last season against Surrey, Singh bagged four wickets on a memorable day for the 29-year-old.
A mainstay in the 2nd XI’s run to the Championship final this summer, Men’s Head Coach Alan Richardson complimented his professional attitude.
“Yadvinder did really well and deserves a lot of credit for the way he made such a quick and lasting impression around the group.
“Although opportunities have been hard to come by, his continued hard-work and commitment to the second eleven’s success is something he carried out with the upmost professionalism.
“Everyone at Worcestershire would like to wish him and his family every success in the future.”
Singh, added:
“I’m very grateful for the opportunity to represent Worcestershire.
“While I wish my time could have been longer, I believe it was meant to be this way. I’ll always value my experience with the Pears.”
