Rain was the winner on Day One of the Rothesay County Championship clash between Durham and Worcestershire, as play was abandoned without a ball bowled at Banks Home Riverside, Chester-le-Street.
Despite the best efforts of the ground staff, persistent rain meant no play was possible with the inevitable decision made shortly after 3pm.
The teams will return on day two hoping for better fortunes, in what is a crucial match for both sides.
