Worcestershire batter Adam Hose has seen his record-breaking month rewarded after being crowned PCA player of the month for June.
Hose, had a stellar month with the bat across both the Rothesay County Championship and the Vitality Blast. The right-handed batter scored 568 runs from nine games at an average of 63.11.
After amassing 145.85 MVP points, the Worcestershire batter also found a place in the PCA Team of the Month in the top-order.
Across June, Hose won two Match MVPs. The first came against Notts Outlaws in the Blast where he scored 95 off 51 balls to take his side to a 25-run victory. His efforts at Trent Bridge saw him achieve 36.17 points. The 32-year-old’s most recent Match MVP was against Hampshire in the County Championship where he scored a brilliant 266 off just 253 balls in the first innings whilst forging a 395-run partnership with captain Jake Libby.
His career best First-Class score yielded him 57.49 MVP points. Hose’s efforts in June saw him achieve 145.85 MVP points and 46.5% of the public vote. The combination of the two saw the batter pip Northamptonshire Steelbacks captain David Willey to the honour. Meanwhile, the Surrey duo of Dom Sibley and Will Jacks finished third and fourth, respectively.

After starring with the bat in June, Adam Hose said: “It is really nice to look back at a crazy month also with the arrival of mine and my wife’s first child in May. It took my mind off the cricket, so I just went out there and managed to put in some good performances.
“Last week was really special. A couple of years ago, I moved from Warwickshire to Worcestershire to play more red-ball cricket. That move has given me more opportunities and I feel like I have been close to providing some really good outcomes without necessarily having those big scores. So, to get it last week and to go on and make a big score was a great memory which I will look back on fondly.
“Winning the award is great. You never set out to win these accolades, but it is always nice to be recognised. To gain the votes from the public is really special and something I am very grateful for.
“A lot of people say that a new-born child helps with your cricket. It might just be a coincidence, but I just haven’t had the time to think about my game. Sometimes you can get distracted by things away from the game so having that freshness of turning up and playing has been working well.”
