COUNTY CONDOLENCES AS GRACE FULLER PASSES AWAY

Grace Fuller, a key member of the Worcestershire CCC office staff for 40 years, has passed away aged 91 at St. Richard’s Hospice.

She joined the club ostensibly as a shorthand-typist in 1946 and was the only member of the admin staff alongside the Club Secretary.

However, Grace quickly became responsible for the club accounts and finances along with membership records and the day to day supervision of the office up until ger retirement in 1986.

In the early days Grace would also ride around the city in a hired van fitted with loudspeakers publicising forthcoming Worcestershire CCC matches.

She was presented with a gold necklace and crystal rose bowl at the 1986 AGM by the then Club President, and former Captain, Don Kenyon, as a token of her loyal service.

Worcestershire CCC would like to pass on their condolences to Grace’s family at this sad time.
