BROWN AND WHITELEY NAMED IN SQUAD TO FACE SHROPSHIRE

Pat Brown and Ross Whiteley are included in the Worcestershire XI squad for tomorrow’s (Sunday’s) 50 over encounter with Shropshire CCC First XI at Bridgnorth CC.

Brown, Worcestershire’s leading wicket-taker in their last two Vitality Blast campaigns, is continuing his comeback from a winter back injury ahead of the 2020 competition.

Whiteley was part of the Worcestershire CCC squad for the opening two impressive performances in the Bob Willis Trophy against Gloucestershire and Glamorgan.

Ollie Westbury, who hit two half centuries for a Worcestershire XI in last week’s two-day friendly with Warwickshire Seconds at Edgbaston, is also part of the 13 strong squad.

Ed Bragg will captain the side and Alex Milton and Henry Cullen are to share the wicket-keeping duties.

Play will get underway at 11am.
