Moeen Ali finished as England's second highest wicket-taker in the three match series against Pakistan in the UAE.
The Worcestershire all-rounder ended up with nine wickets – a tally only topped by England's man of the series in James Anderson (13).
His nine wickets cost 48.66 runs apiece and he conceded 4.08 runs per over – the most expensive of England's front-line bowlers.
During the series Moeen completed a half century of wickets in Test cricket.
He finished with one more wicket than fellow spinner Adil Rashid whose eight wickets cost 69.50 runs each.
Anderson confirmed his position as England's number one bowler with 13 wickets at 15.67 in unhelpful conditions and an economy rate of just 1.87 runs per over.
Moeen was promoted to open the batting and finished with 84 runs from six innings at an average of 14.
His top score was 35 in the first innings of the first Test when he figured in a century stand with skipper Alastair Cook.
