Josh Dell marked his debut for Mosman CC by hitting TWO half centuries on the second and final day of the New South Wales Premier Cricket second grade match against home side UTS Sydney.
The Worcestershire batsman fought a lone hand in Mosman’s first innings in making 55 after opening the innings.
His side were bowled out for 117 in reply to UTS Sydney’s opening day total of 293 in 78.4 overs last weekend.
Only two of Dell’s team-mates made double figures.
The 22-year-old, who resumed overnight on 20 not out, was eventually fourth out with the total on 87 before the last six wickets went down for 30 runs.
Mosman followed on 176 runs in arrears and Dell was again amongst the runs as his side proved a harder nut to crack in their second innings.
He scored 89 after again opening the innings.
Dell looked set to remain unbeaten but was dismissed from the final ball before the two teams shook hands with Mosman having totalled 201-4 – a lead of 25.
It meant that UTS Sydney had to be content with a winning draw.
