Worcestershire Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes has backed Tom Kohler-Cadmore to score "a stack of runs" and push his way back into first team contention.
Kohler-Cadmore will play for the Seconds in the four-day match with Warwckshire at Barnt Green starting tomorrow.
The former Malvern College pupil has been left out of the current LV = County Championship clash with Somerset at New Road.
Kohler-Cadmore scored a century and fifty for the Seconds in two T20 matches against Cardiff MCCU on Friday.
He was in good form during pre-season but short of runs in the opening two LVCC matches against Yorkshire and Sussex.
Rhodes said: "He will be desperate to go back into the Seconds and score some big runs and push his way back in.
"Ironically, he has played well in the T20 against Cardiff and got a 100. Those are the sort of things he will want to do and get back in.
"He is a very talented batsman and very much part of our long term plans and it is just part of the learning curve.
"I am very confident he will get a stack of runs and push his way back in at some stage."
