daryl mitchell has climbed into seventh spot in the list of worcestershire’s century-makers in first class cricket.
the 34-year-old moved past two distinguished names after completing the 33rd hundred for the county against yorkshire at scarborough on monday.
mitchell overtook ron headley and tom moody with his third century of the campaign.
it was the opener’s third hundred of 2018 after notching his previous two in the success over lancashire at New Road.
next in mitchell’s sights will be fred bowley with 38 tons for worcestershire and ahead of him on 43 is current worcestershire ccc vice-chairman, tim curtis.
off mitchell’s 33 tons, 11 have been converted into 150 plus scores – including his 178 at scarborough.
ten of those hundreds have come since the start of last season.
