SUPPORTERS ASSOCIATION FIFTY-FIFTY COMPETITION TO CONTINUE FOR 2024 SEASON

Worcestershire Supporters’ Association will again be staging their long-standing Fifty-Fifty competition next summer.

Association committee member, Dave Kennedy, is again organising the 2024 competition with all profits continuing to go to the Ground Improvement Fund.

The WSA were able to provide the funds earlier this year for new ground covering sheets, and for the re-covering of the mobile covers which protect the wicket at New Road.

In addition, WSA financed the makeover of the turnstile area, complete with enhanced lighting, at the entrance to The View, whilst their former Club Shop – purchased for £30,000 and donated to the club – was used by as a hospitality area for partners of the Worcestershire players.

The Association have provided funds for a lengthy list of projects including the purchasing of New Road, the Ladies Pavilion, the Chestnut Marquee, two scoreboards and the Mills and Brookes Stands.

More than 400 people participated in the 2022 competition, and it will again cost £20 to enter with the opportunity to participate in four monthly draws from June to September.

Prizes ranged from £25 to a top one of £500 this year although the exact figures depend on how many people enter.

Anyone wanting to take part can do so by clicking here or through a BACS transfer to W.C.C.S.A. 20-98-61 80985422, adding their name as reference.
