Saeed Ajmal has reiterated his desire to return to play for Worcestershire next season – international commitments permitting.
Ajmal ended his current spell at New Road a fortnight ago after taking 63 wickets in nine LV = County Championship matches.
The Pakistan spin star intimated an opportunity will be available during the opening half of the campaign to undertake a third spell at New Road.
He said: "I'm happy to come to play for Worcestershire. Let's see the schedule, it is busy, and I will need to take a rest as well.
"If I'm free for two and three months, I can come and play for Worcestershire.
"There is a tour of Zimbabwe in June and before that the IPL window is open for no-one playing international cricket so, fingers crossed, I can come and play for Worcestershire."
Saeed, whose first spell at New Road was in 2011, added: "I am happy to play at Worcester, the guys are good, coaching staff, office staff, are happy so I'm happy to.
"That's why I come here. I have quite a lot of offers but I like to play for Worcestershire."
Ajmal has joined up with Pakistan for their tour of Sri Lanka throughout August.
