HAYNES AND UNDER-19S FACE ZIMBABWE IN WORLD CUP WARM-UP

Jack Haynes and England Under-19s take on Zimbabwe on Sunday (January 12) in the first of two warm-up matches for the ICC Under-19 World Cup in South Africa.

The Worcestershire batsman and Young Lions team-mates will be in action at the LC de Villiers Oval in Pretoria.

The second match will take place against Afghanistan Under-19s at the Mandela Oval, Hammanskraal on Tuesday (January 14).

England will launch their bid for glory in the tournament on January 20 against the West Indies at the De Beers Diamond Oval, Kimberley.

It will be venue for all three of their group matches.

Haynes and Co will face Australia Under-19s on January 23 and then Nigeria Under-19s two days later.

The 16 participating teams will be split into four groups of four with the top two in each group progressing to the Super League and the bottom two into the Plate League.

The Super League will consist of quarter-finals and semi-finals to decide the two finalists in Potchefstroom on February 9.
