MORE BIG HITTING FROM BLAST SIGNING DWARSHUIS IN SIXERS WIN

Worcestershire 2025 Vitality Blast overseas signing, Ben Dwarshuis, made another crucial contribution with the bat for Sydney Sixers in their Big Bash League last over win against Adelaide Strikers.

Dwarshuis, who is available for the Rapids entire T20 campaign, had smashed an unbeaten 23 off seven balls in the weekend success over Perth Scorchers.

He followed that knock up by hitting 30 off 23 balls to put the Sixers back on track in pursuit of a 183 target and triumph with one ball to spare.

It is the kind of exciting hitting that Rapids followers can look forward to at Visit Worcestershire New Road this summer in addition to his effective contributions with the ball.

Dwarshuis came to the wicket with the Sixers on 92-5 in the 11th over and added 55 for the sixth wicket with Lachlan Shaw (32) in 6.3 overs.

He had struck a trio of sixes against the Scorchers and added two more, both over deep mid wicket off the bowling of D’Arcy Short and Jordan Buckingham.

Dwarshuis was eventually caught in the same area off Buckingham but he had helped bring the Sixers back into the hunt and they eventually achieved victory in 19.5 overs.

Worcestershire batter Kashif Ali made his first appearance of the winter for Ghani Glass in their President’s Trophy four-day encounter with Eshaal Associates at Karachi.

Kashif, Worcestershire’s leading scorer in the County Championship last summer, made 13 off 28 balls opening the innings before his dismissal in a total of 379.
