CORNALL AND EDAVALATH MAKE THEIR MARK WITH BAT IN BPL

Worcestershire CCC duo Taylor Cornall and Rehaan Edavalath have been making their mark with the bat in the Birmingham and District Premier League this summer.

Cornall is the second highest scorer in the two divisions with 657 runs at an average of 65.70 for Ombersley.

He has hit two hundreds and four half centuries in his 12 innings.

Cornall struck a top score of 186 not out against Knowle and Dorridge in addition to an unbeaten 126 versus Barnt Green.

Fellow opener Edavalath is the seventh highest run-getter in the BPL with 542 runs at an average of 49.27 for Barnards Green.

His tally includes two centuries and two fifties.

Edavalath’s highest score was his 138 not out against Kidderminster while he also reached three figures with 105 versus Knowle and Dorridge.

On the bowling front, Academy captain Joe Stanley is the leading Worcestershire wicket-taker with 24 at an average of 27.71 for Wolverhampton.

He has registered one five-for, with figures of 5-59 versus Berkswell.

None of the Worcestershire players were in BPL action at the weekend as rain washed out the entire programme.
