Joe Clarke and Josh Tongue have been included in the England Lions squad for the tour of the West Indies early next year.
The Worcestershire duo have been called up after being part of the Lions training camp in Australia for the past two months.
Clarke has been included for the entire tour with the Lions playing three four-day and three one-day matches against West Indies A.
He made his first senior appearance for England during the trip Down Under against a Cricket Australia X1, scoring 45 in the two day game ahead of the third Test.
Tongue earned a Lions call-up as a replacement for the injured Essex paceman Jamie Porter after his successful first season of senior team cricket at Blackfinch Road.
He ended as Worcestershire’s joint second highest wicket-taker with 47 victims.
Tongue has been selected for the three four-day games despite being affected by injury during the Australia camp.
He is to undergo a cortisone injection in his ankle but is expected to be fit to undertake the tour.
Haseeb Hameed, Ben Foakes, Sam Curran, Mason Crane, Porter and Toby Roland-Jones have been included in the Lions squad.
They join 10 of the players selected for the Lions training camp. Keaton Jennings will captain the Lions in both the four-day and one-day series.
James Whitaker, the National Selector, said: “We have selected a total of 22 players for these two series in the West Indies, to ensure we gain the most value in terms of assessing players in both first-class and one-day cricket.
“We have included two members of the Ashes tour squad, Ben Foakes and Mason Crane, for the four-day matches, with the possibility of either or both of them leaving the Lions tour early if they are selected in the England squad for the two Tests in New Zealand in March and April.
“We will be naming that squad in the New Year, and the same goes for the squads for the North-South Series which will be played in Barbados at the end of the Lions tour – and is likely to include the players who have been selected for the one-day series against West Indies A.”
