CHRISTMAS IN NEPAL FOR WORCESTERSHIRE PACE BOWLER PAT BROWN

Pat Brown can look forward to a new experience when he competes in the inaugural Nepal T20 League – the possibility of playing cricket on Christmas Day!

The Worcestershire ace bowler is flying out at the weekend to prepare for a programme of 10 group matches in 14 days with Lumbini All Stars.

And the final group game for Brown and his new team-mates will take place on December 25 against Janakpur Royals.

He will swap turkey and tinsel for time out in the middle at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground if selected.

The Rapids 2018 Vitality Blast hero said: “It will be a strange one playing on December 25 if selected but looking forward to the tournament.”

Six teams are taking part in the tournament in a home and away round robin format with the top four going through to the Eliminator and two Qualifiers.

The All Stars opening game is on December 12 against Far Western United with the final taking place on December 31.

The other four teams competing for the first Nepal T20 League title are: Kathamdu Gurkhas, Janakpur Royals, Pokhara Avengers and Biratnagar Super Kings.
