BIRMINGHAM LEAGUE ROUND-UP: ADAM HOSE HITS 77 FOR BARNARDS GREEN 

Adam Hose struck a quickfire 77 to help Barnards Green to a 109 run win over Shrewsbury in a Birmingham And District Premier League Premier Division encounter. 

The Worcestershire batter hit four sixes and five fours in his 75 ball knock after coming to the wicket at 34-2. 

He added 80 for the fourth wicket with former Worcestershire player, George Rhodes, who made an unbeaten 102. 

Barnards Green totalled 277-8 from 50 overs with Academy player, Harry Darley, having figures of 9-0-48-2. 

Hose then ran out opener Will Parton (16) as Shrewsbury were bowled out for 168 in 34.3 overs. 

Academy all-rounder Reeve Evitts produced a superb spell of bowling to finish with 5-7 from 5.3 overs in Kenilworth Wardens five wicket win over champions Smethwick. 

Pat Brown (7-1-45-1) claimed the wicket of Worcestershire Assistant Head Coach Kadeer Ali (1) before Evitts ripped through the middle and lower order as Smethwick were dismissed for 137 in 33.3 overs. 

Josh Baker then smashed 45 off 22 balls with SIX sixes and two fours after coming in at 14-3 to help Kenilworth to victory in just 27.2 overs. 

Taylor Cornall’s fine all-round performance helped Ombersley to a five wicket win over Kidderminster. 

His off spin brought him a return of 7-1-28-3 as Kidderminster were bowled out for 131 in 46 overs. 

Cornall’s solid 41 off 84 balls with four boundaries ensured Ombersley suffered few alarms in reaching their target with 14.2 overs to spare and he put on 49 for the first wicket with Jack Haynes (25).
