BEN COX TO LAUNCH BENEFIT YEAR WITH NEW ROAD DINNER

Worcestershire wicketkeeper-batter, Ben Cox, will launch his benefit year with a dinner in the Graeme Hick Pavilion at New Road on Friday, February 24 (7 for 7.30pm start).

Tickets cost £60 per person or £550 for a table of 10 and include a three-course meal, guest speakers, live music, games and an auction.

The dress code for the dinner will be lounge suits-jackets-cocktail wear, and the night’s theme will be Cox’s 2009 debut match versus Somerset at Taunton.

It will feature many of his team-mates from that game when the Worcestershire line-up was: Daryl Mitchell, Stephen Moore, Vikram Solanki, Moeen Ali, Alexei Kervezee, David Wheeldon, Gareth Andrew, Ben Cox, Richard Jones, Matt Mason and Jack Shantry.

For further information, or to book your tickets, please contact Mark Ashbourne on 07506747619.

Cox has been a member of the first-team squad since making his senior debut as a 17-year-old and claimed his 600th dismissal across all formats last summer.

He has also scored more than 5,000 first class runs – including a career-best 124 against Gloucestershire at Cheltenham in 2017 – and was the Rapids hero with the bat on finals day when winning the Vitality Blast for the first time in 2018.
