BATTER MILLY HOME REJOINS WOMEN’S RAPIDS ON LOAN FOR SECOND SEASON

Worcestershire Women’s Rapids have re-signed batter, Milly Home, on loan from Warwickshire for a second successive season.

Home enjoyed a successful spell at New Road during the 2021 season.
She hit an unbeaten 88 against Berkshire in the ECB Women’s County Championship T20 competition.

Home’s brother, Jack, is a Worcestershire CCC 2021-2022 Academy intake member.

She became the Women’s Rapids second winter signing after another Central Sparks batter, Ami Campbell, joined on loan for the 2022 campaign.

Women’s Rapids captain, Chloe Hill, said: “I think Milly enjoyed playing for Worcestershire. Her brother is part of the Academy set-up, so it is a home from home for her.

“She really enjoyed the opportunity to open the batting, bat time, and have the chance to show what she can do.

“With her and Ami, myself, Clarke Boycott etc., we will be strong at the top of the order.”

Home is also a talented lacrosse player and has already represented England at the Under-19 World Cup, and is aiming for another major goal this summer.

Hill said: “Milly is hoping to get into the main England lacrosse squad for the World Cup in America. She is training very hard for that.”

The Women’s World Championships are held in Maryland from June 29 to July 9.
