Worcestershire Academy are through to the second round of the Birmingham and District Premier League Graham Williamson Trophy on the toss of a coin.
They will now face Birmingham & District Premier Division One side Ombersley (away) on Sunday, 16 April, at 12.30pm.
The Academy had knocked out three Premier Division sides last summer on their way to reaching the final at New Road.
But their opening game in the 2023 competition away to Berkswell was one of five first-round matches unable to go ahead because of the recent heavy rain.
As a result, a toss of a coin decided the outcome – and it ended in Worcestershire’s favour.
It took place at Kidderminster CC and Worcestershire, who were represented By Academy Coach, Elliot Wilson, successfully called ‘heads’.
Ombersley also won via a toss of a coin after their tie with Moseley was also called off.
New Road will again host the 2023 final on Sunday, April 30.
