Women’s Rapids looking to end ECB T20 competition on winning note with double header

Worcestershire Women’s Rapids conclude their ECB Women’s County Championship T20 Group Two competition with a double header at Bourne CC on Sunday.

The Rapids will feature in back to back matches as they take on Lincolnshire at 10.30am and then Norfolk at 1.30pm.

They are currently lying in second spot in the nine-team table with 57 points from six matches.

The Rapids have won three of their six games to date with one defeat and two other matches abandoned.

Leaders Warwickshire are on 83 points but they have only one game remaining against Northamptonshire at Geddington this weekend.

Rapids leading scorer, Bryony Gillgrass, will be looking to add to her 231 runs while Phoebe Brett is the joint second highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 18 scalps.

Captain Chloe Hill, who made her first appearances of the season in the T20 wins over Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire a fortnight ago, is again available.
