NEW SIGNINGS JONES AND TAYLOR PART OF SQUAD FOR DESERT SPRINGS

Worcestershire have announced the nine player squad, including new signings Tom Taylor and Rob Jones, who will be travelling to Desert Springs on March 4 for a 10-day training camp.

Batter Jones moved to New Road from Lancashire on a three year contract after an initial successful loan spell.

All-rounder Taylor made the switch from Northamptonshire to Worcestershire on a four year contract.

Club Captain, Brett D’Oliveira, is included after making good progress this winter with his rehabilitation following a dislocated shoulder.

Joe Leach is also part of the squad after making encouraging progress with his rehab after a knee operation last month.

The group consists of the players who have trained throughout the winter at Malvern and New Road.

Those players who have been in action abroad during the winter will play their final games for their clubs on March 9.

They will then fly home to meet up with the entire squad for pre-season training at Kidderminster CC from March 18.

Assistant Head Coach, Kadeer Ali, is taking a break after his involvement with England Under-19s in the ICC World Cup as is batter Adam Hose after a busy winter away from home playing in various tournaments.
