CULLEN MAKES HISTORY WITH HAUL OF TEN CATCHES FOR SECONDS

Worcestershire wicketkeeper Henry Cullen made history with his performance behind the stumps for the Seconds in their Championship win over Nottinghamshire at Kidderminster earlier this week.

Cullen achieved 10 catches – including six in the first innings – which is the most ever in a match by a Worcestershire keeper in Second Eleven Championship cricket.

It is two more than the previous best performance of eight catches by four Worcestershire keepers.

Stuart Bevins (1992), Tim Edwards (1995), Ben Cox (2011) and Alex Milton (2021) all achieved that feat.

Assistant Coach Richard Jones said: “It’s a really good achievement and Henry is someone who has been coming on really nicely throughout the season.

“He would have been disappointed not to have got many runs in this (Nottinghamshire) game but he has contributed all season for us.”

Cullen recently put pen to paper on a new two year contract until the end of the 2025 season.
